We are pleased to announce that Mmino, the South African –Norwegian Music Cooperation, housed at the National Arts Council in Johannesburg, will continue for the period 2008 to 2010.

An agreement regarding cultural cooperation between South Africa and Norway, was signed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Arts Council of South Africa in April 2008. The Department of Arts and Culture has become a partner and will from now on also financially contribute to Mmino.

We do apologise for the long delay but are indeed happy to be able to finally announce our call for applications: projects active in the field of music education or music exchange (with Norway or the SADC region) are hereby invited to apply for funding.

All applications must be submitted before 20 June 2008 – 12h00 on the official Mmino form which can be downloaded from this site. Mmino will not accept faxed, emailed, incomplete or late applications. Please note that we will exceptionally hold only one funding session in 2008.

Only projects within the fields of music education such as community outreach projects, workshops and tuition and music exchange between South African and Norway or South Africa and the SADC countries will be considered.
